CREATE DATABASE statement
I am not an expert on Access; however, as a student in college my professor commented that my Microsoft Database was built from a table. Can someone tell me what does that mean? And do your templates build from a table? I guess I really want to know how to prevent a template from building a database from a table.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you are confused a little.

Database basics.

Tables are a collection of similar information, which are the building blocks for a simple, or complex database.

Templates are used to define a way to collect, store and display the information. Access has several template databases, which are freely available. (

So, by definition, templates are used to design the database functionality. Data entered provides the database content

You should read up a bit more about DB basics, and do more hands-on work. Things will become clearer as you do more.

Try searching MS Support for Access templates.

Well, I don't know what that means, but, why would you want to prevent it if you don't know what it is ? If you don't get the answer here, you might want to ask your professor.
