Hi All, Can anyone help me in resolving the below issue. Requirement:
Want a CLP program script in which i can send the user profile objects from one LPAR to another LPAR.
We will schedule that in our job schedule entries.
Once initiated the job it should ask for a user profile name to enter it., post entry it can execute and transfer that job to destination LPAR's.
Appreciate your help.
Thank you in Advance.
Regards, Manoj.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

Things would be much easier if you use some replication tool, provided that it is a regular task which you need to perform. Else, use SAVSECDTA (save security data) command to save all the *USRPRF and restore it on the other system using the omit option to mention those profiles which you don’t want to restore on other machine.

    A few questions

    1. Do you want to Copy or Move the objects?

    2. Is the library name going to be the same in all LPARs?

    3. If the object is a file, do you want to move all or selected records from the file?

    4. If you are going to copy, are you going to check for object creation date?

I wrote an article a while back, located here, that provides a program to save specific user profiles. The program provided is in RPG which could be re-implemented using CL (or simply called by your CL script with the command interface provided in the article).
