Using Windows Server 2003 and Exchange 2003, I would like to know if it is possible to set up a Distribution List (containing internal users) to be able to send and receive external emails ?

You will probably want to create a resource. A distribution list is a mailing list designed to receive mail, not send it. A resource mailbox can receive and send mail both.

Hi,
You can do this task by creating an Mail enabled Distribution list. With that you can be get the internal mails and external mails.

Thanks

I have an exisiting Distribution Group that I would like to be able to receive email from external sources. Thisdistribution group contains internal users. Ideally, external users should be able to send emails to the distribution group email address, and all members of the group would receive those emails.
What additional configuration needs to be made for this distribution group to receive emails ?
