Q:
CPYFRMIMPF Command Submitting multiple jobs.
Submitting multiple jobs to do a copy to an AS400 standardized file.
This is a great command. I have two systems
that I use it on. It works well on one system, however, on the other one it likes to submit multiple jobs to copy blocks of 60,700 records,(reminds me of the old FTP process on the early 400).
It goes into a delay(60) wait while the jobs it submitted completes. If you have a large file this can take quite awhile, plus if the jobq it submits these job to is single threaded the operator will have to move
them around so they can run. I've been assured that both systems are V5R3 and that the PTF's are up to date, (yea right). Is there a setting or system value I might be missing?

Would you be more specific or narrow a little the problem?

Agreed. Some elaboration would be useful, particularly since I've never seen CPYFRMIMPF submit any jobs at all, regardless of release.

Me neither.
I wonder if this is a ‘user’ version of the command with a different CPP.
Terry, could you run a DSPCMD and check CPP name & library?
