Hi,

when i am using a the CPYFRMQRYF command am getting the error message error writing to member &3 in file &1(with the message ID CPF2972).

Could you please advice as how i can overcome this?

    CharlieBrown, the second-level text for CPF2972 is 'See the messages previously listed. Correct the error, and then try the request again.' ;-) Joking aside, CharlieBrown is right - check the joblog. It will provide you with the reason the CPYFRMQRYF is failing.

    Could you please advice as how i can overcome this? Yes. The advice is that you should follow the instructions in the message. Perhaps you need to understand that when a message is displayed by the system, you can move your cursor to the message text and press the <F1> key. That will bring the full message up for you to read. Tom
