CPF1124 and CPF1164
Hi friends, hapy new Year for all my friends on this forum.
I have a JOB, this job run everyday at 02:00am.
How can I send a e-mail to a person when this job receive this messages with all severity codes:
Message ID . . . . . . : CPF1124 Severity . . . . . . . : 00
Message type . . . . . : Information
Date sent . . . . . . : 31/12/08 Time sent . . . . . . : 02:00:00
Message . . . . : Job 852296/WILLIAM/BCKDIARIO started on 31/12/08 at
02:00:00 in subsystem QBATCH in QSYS. Job entered system on 31/12/08 at
02:00:00.
and this message to:

Hello Roberto,
Are you looking to send a message when the job completes normally, or are you looking for when the job is ended abnormally?
You can use the internal SMTP server if your Midrange has access to the outside via your network.
Make sure you check your release level and make sure your PTFs are up to date so you don't run into any weird issues trying to use the SMTP server.

You will need to become familiar with the MONMSG (Monitor Message) command and the SNDDST (Send Distribution) command in addition to configuring for SMTP.
