Couple of Windows Server 2008 questions…
1. When I join a Win XP/7 workstation to a domain, does the domain administrator account and domain admin group get automatically added in the local administrator group of that machine?
2. If I make a domain user a member of the local administrator group, can that user remote into a domain controller and log in with their credentials? Can they do that on member servers?

Answer Wiki:
1. Yes, the domain admins group will automatically be made a member of the local administrators group. 2. No, just because a user is a member of a member computer they will not have any additional rights to a member server or the domain controllers. Stronly recommend Microsoft course 6419A
