		<description><![CDATA[And, thanks to Mrdenny for clearly pointing it out, is where small to medium businesses in a cash-crunch and realizing the end-of-primary-support looming in a few short weeks, are effectively skewered.  Would that MS would realize they can accrue revenue via an UPGRADE path vs. &quot;buy it again folks&quot;.  Looks like we&#039;ll be on limited-support real soon...  Ah well, at least MS CMS 2002 is still dishing up content reliably, so maybe we&#039;ll have it good-enough w/ SS2005.]]></description>

There&#039;s no upgrade pricing.  It costs what is costs.  If you have CALs for your users, then you&#039;ll need to get new CALs.  If you are using CPU based licensing then you&#039;ll need to get new CPU licenses.

Now if you have software assurance for the existing instance, then the upgrade is free.]]></description>
