We have an XP SP3 user with a corrupt profile. When logging in to it you get a blank desktop. When copying the files to another profile it works. What should I do? Will it be corrupted as well? What causes profile corruption?

I would personally save the info which is in the uncorrupted profile, (assuming it is for the same user) then I would delete that pprofile, and to insure the likelyhood of the new profile working correctly, I would modify the profile name by one or two characters so the db for the profiles does not try and resurrect the original profile, and see how that works out. Remember, back up, back up, back up!
hmm it’s caused by virus most times but if it is a single own system try copying the usefull files then format the system like wise find a good anti virus insatlled on the system ok ….
