Wht i suggest is it would be better if u try to open this PST using older MS outlook version rather then in 2003.
Like u can open it using MS Outlook 2000. try this.
If still the same persists then let me know......will try some alternative.........

Make sure the file isn&#039;t marked read-only. If it&#039;s on a CD, move it to your hard drive and remove the read-only attribute.

Also, you should simply open the file in Outlook using File &#124; Open, rather than importing from it -- you&#039;ll retain the most data and settings that way.
