Correct database format for Rich Text/HTML?

I’m new to SQL and am creating a new database and I am wondering what format would work best. I am looking for the query results to be formatted (specifically hyperlinks and paragraphs). I am thinking that I need to go with XML to get this type of formatting. Is this the way to go? Or can I accomplish this with standard SQL data type? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thx, Scott St. Gelais

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

If you need to store HTML then you can use the NVARCHAR(MAX) datatype (TEXT if you are using SQL 2000 or order). If you want to store Rich Text then this is Binary data which would need to be stored in the VARBINARY(MAX) data type (IMAGE if you are using SQL 2000 or order).
