Hi, I need to copy records from one file (SERVER1) to another file (SERVER2) with same field definitions. It has to be run as a daily job. Please guide me.

    There are various ways to accomplish this. DDMF, FTP, SAV/RST, Journal entries, ...Can you give us more information.How often does this need to be done? Once a day, multiple times a day?How may records need to be copied?Are you replacing a file or adding records to it?How are these machines connected?

    If you are copying from different i-Series machines my preference is to use DDM files. FTP would be my second choice. Send us a little more info as Charlie suggested and we will try and point you in a good direction to suit your needs.
