Copy & Paste
When I copy text from an e-mail so that I could "Select All" and delete lines on the left-hand side or any print or ads at the bottom, and then paste, it pastes a previous 'copy' and not the current one. What is happening?

Do Select All, copy&paste into new email, delete what you don't want, then do a new Select All and Copy. You are probably not doing that last step so you are still pasting the first Select All. Your question is vage so if this is not the case please explain when you are deleting the lines on side or ads at bottom.
