I had the same issue in Repors 10g. My report showed correctly, btutthe CSV file created by the same query contained duplicates. What I did was go into Excel and REMOVE DUPLICATES function from the CSV file. After a little more editing I was able to get a good formatted table from which I coudl do my graphs.

The 5 extra rows are probably from any totals/sub-totals feilds you have in the report.

Programmerjan, you created a new question to add more details about this problem, but it has been deleted. Please continue the discussion here. If you want to add more details (and you should), please use the discussion section. You have not answered how you are converting the report yet, and that is an important piece of information. Also, let us know if you are calling your report from a Forms application. The more details you provide, the better your chances of getting accurate help.
