converting ILE legacy code to a GUI based system
RPGLE, ILE RPG, AS/400, Conversion functions, RPGILE
We are trying to move out of the old "GREEN SCREEN" code.

Our software company is heading towards a GUI interface, but we currently
have approx 250 custom programs that would need to be converted.

Just about all of our legacy code is written in RPLGE / CLLE.

We have a few simple apps that were written by myself usgig CGI.

My question would be what is the best way to go forward for converting
our current applications ?

The big issue here is I have very little expreience with web interfacing
and the rest of the staff has even less or no HTML skills at all.

We are in the same situation. I have looked at both Websmart by BCD and RPGSP by Profound Logic. Both offer good products, outstanding tech support and a free 30 trial of their products.

I decided to go with RPGsp because it seems to be geared more towards the RPG programmer with a limited knowledge of HTML. Plus, if I have any questions about how to do something, all I have to do is pick up the phone and they will talk me through it or, by using Goto meeting, connect to my machine and do it for me. All the while explaining what is being done. This way, I not only get an answer to my question, I also get a lesson in java script, html, or whatever else my question was about.
