I have used this approach at numerous sites – particularly as an efficient way of distributing error reports (with pdf attachments) via email to numerous recipients. You’ll have to download and compile the CVTSPLSTMF associated code (it’s free). I believe I originally downloaded it from the iseries 400 magazine site.
