I’ve mention the details that I remember, Hope this is helpful -

You will need couple of things to configure Control-M job from Control M Desktop.

1. A Calendar, (this needs to be set up before setting up the jobs) on which the created jobs will be running.

2. A connection to the Server (Connection between the Control M Server and the Application Production system) where the jobs are to be submitted.

3. Details on the Conditions on which the scheduled job is to be run.

4. Details on all the input conditions on which the jobs is to be run.

Once we have all the things ready, then creating a new job is very easy in control M. Everything is mentioned in tabs. There is an icon (to the top left corner) to create a new job. This will create a dummy job for you. Modify the parameter like ‘node’ (the server where it needs to be run), ‘userid’ (the user id that it needs to be using when submitting a job in the system), command (where you mention the script that the control M need to invoke when the in-conditions are met. Couple of post-proc’s where you mention what to do ‘on completion of job’, ‘on failure’ and such things. Another tab where you mention the resource utilization. A tab on the in-out conditions etc. It is comparitively very easy.
