Off the top of my head,
there's consumption of forecast where sales orders "consume" the forecast to reduce forecasted quantities by the amount of a sales order.
there's also consumption of components in a manufacturing context where raw and semifinished material is issued (consumed) to a production or process order to reduce the inventory.
