Connection to Iseries for multiple users V5R4
Have shared computer and need to make connection to iseries that works for each user that logs onto the system without having to make same connection manually for each user.

Are you stating you want the shared pc using client access to only have one virtual QPADEVxxxx session shared by each user?
Or do you want one permanent named virtual device for each user (ex: usera001, userb002, etc)?

If you are going to have a shared computer automatically login why even bother with passwords? Just set your system at Security Level 10 and skip the whole password and security thing let your users destroy your system. As long as your users AT LEAST HAVE THEIR OWN WINDOWS LOGIN, you can configure Client Access to use the Windows password as long as the profile and password match their AS400 profile and password.
I think I’m lost but maybe DanD is in the right track. Have your Windows user profiles and PW match the iSeries user information and you should be fine.
If that’s the route you’re looking to take, here’s the how to:
On your iSeries Access screen, click on Communication on the menu bar
Select Configure
Click on Properties
Under User ID signon info, select “Use Windows user name and password”
