Connection problem with two PC’s running Windows Server 2003

I am having a connection problem with two PC's running Windows Server 2003. I've confirmed all of the settings, but it's still not working.

If I connect to Windows XP in one system while Windows Server 2003 is still running on the other system things are fine and the two PC's are pinging.

    Is the connection is DHCP or Static IP ! U may check the both 2003 computers with the in-build tools....
