I have requirement to connect more than one AS400 DB2 remote/distributed database to retrieve the Quantity by using SQLRPGLE Program. Found working with one remote DB, Retrieving the quantity & other Remote DB is getting connected, but while executing the SQL query it says SQL Package not found. The SQL Package is already available. Could you please treat this as urgent requirement. Thanking you in anticpation.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

To connect to two different remote databases at the same time, I believe you need to connect through DB2 LUW. See IBM Federated Database Technology. Numerous links can be searched with a request like {federated database site:ibm.com} with Google.

If either remote system supports DDM, you might find it easier and cheaper to use DDM for access to that database.

If you want to do it yourself, I understand that it’s done with SQL CLI “server mode” programming. If you can code ODBC APIs, it shouldn’t be much different. I suspect it can also be done with Java and JDBC, but I haven’t heard of anyone doing it.

Tried using SQL to connect to a DDM file with no luck. Would be interested if anyone has had luck with this option .
