 Connecting oracle forms 6i with oracle 10g XE

Hi everybody; my question is that i have installed oracle 10g XE after that i installed forms 6i but when i used to connect it wid oracle it gives out the error message "ORA-12203 TNS:Unable to connect to the destination".Please help me out i am really worried what to do with this.if possible please give me the fundamental method(step wise) to connect it..
