Connecting more than one router together
I am trying to connect two router boxes together so I can connect 8 computers to one line. I have two router boxes, one with 5 connections with one with 8 so I need to connect them together but just pluging in a cord between the two is not working. What am I doing wrong and how can I fix?

Answer Wiki:
Two routers are overkill for your situation. I would recommend getting a 16 port switch similar to this LInksys model. If you cannot do that, then you will likely need a cross-over cable to connect the two routers together. The switch is really the easiest solution since you likely already have a router at your network edge and for this small network, additional routers would be unnecessary.
