Connect notes client to Domino server

I am trying to connect a Notes 8.0.2 client to a domino8.0.2 server on windows XP and Vista machines. I can ping the machine IP but notes says the server is not responding. I am trying to connect via TCP/IP

Hi

Did you to try to open the server with the IP adress instead of the server name ?

If you make that, Notes will automatically create a connection document (to the destination server)

You will find this connection document in the personnal adress book of the client …
