conflict message in Outlook 2003


Read Receipt conflict message, Outlook 2003

read receipt conflict message:

A user sends out an email requesting a read receipt. When they receive the receipt it displays the conflict icon in outlook. When they open the message it displays the conflict that the message was edited twice, but it is by the same person (the sender) and at the same time. Any idea as to what is causing this?

I’m also receiving this error with the exact symptoms described here. This is an intermittent issue, however, and does not occur with every instance that a read receipt is received.

Maybe an issue with delegates or those who have access to the mailbox reading the receipt before the mailbox owner. Not sure.
