Conflict between Adobe CS5 and Office 2007
I am trying to install Adobe CS5.5 Suite for Web and 2 times it has failed during installation. Afterwards none of my Microsoft Office programs will run anymore. This includes Excle, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer 8, etc. When I double click them, the hour glass comes up for a half second, then nothing, no error message at all. There was a Java update that took place during the process the first time. After the first issue my PC was re-imaged and everything reinstalled. I am running Windows XP and Office 2007.

Software/Hardware used:
Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2007, Adobe CS5.5 for Web, IE8

Hello,

You must re-image the drive, after that Instead Of Adobe CS5.5 Suite, you install the Adobe Photoshop CS5. Adobe Photoshop CS5 will work with Office 2007 effectively and smoothly. It can’t produce any problem during installation. If any problem produce, you can easily solve Adobe Photoshop CS5 installation failure, so don’t worry.
Now surely your Microsoft Office programs run without any problem.

Thanks.

In installing the Adobe CS5.5 Suite you encounter an error right? If you have remembered the error message maybe it can hasten to solve the question. But for now I have one solution in mind. Try to use system restore if available. It can restore your computer in some restore points that your computer has defaulted. You can see the dates that was before you installed your Adobe CS5.5 Suite and maybe you can restore it there. Here are some steps that can help. Restoring system file in Windows .  Please reply if it does help you. Good luck.
