I am trying to configure my PIX 515UR so that it can be monitored by What's Up Gold.  I am using the following commands:

snmp-server host inside x.x.x.x snmp-server community leroy snmp-server enable traps

I then set up the snmp credentials for the PIX in WUG, set up the device to be polled by WUG on the inside interface (x.x.x.x), enable the active monitor and enable the snmp interface.  The device immediately goes into alarm in WUG.  Is there something I am missing here?

Thanks for your help!

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I think you do have all the commands required.

I would check and see if you have an access-list in on the inside interface, then you will need to add a line to allow the SNMP server to poll the PIX.

Otherwise, run a debug on the PIX and see if it gives you any clues.
