Can an HP ProCurve switch be configured to work with a Cisco switch? Say a for example 3750 or 6506. By work I mean, be able to use VLANs create on Cisco side to work on HP side. Also, for a Cisco trunk to work with on an HP switch.

Software/Hardware used:
Cisco 3750 & 6505, and HP Procurve switch

Hey I did posted couple of articles in my Network Technology and trends blog which explains trunking in both Cisco and HP Procure Switches as well as sample configuration.

Cheers

As long as both devices support open standards – like 802.1q trunking, then yes. We have several HP, Cisco, Juniper and Dell devices, that all inter-operate just fine..
