Configuring access for BSP in mySAP CRM

My company recently installed mySAP CRM 4.0. When I tried to run the CRM BSP Application by adding the BSP Application to my favorites (CRMD_CASE), it started the browser but hit an error indicating:
'HTTP 403 (Forbidden): You are not authorized to view this page'

What do we need to configure to make this work?

Answer Wiki:
This sounds to me more like a Security Set Profile problem in SAP than a CRM solution issue. What you are experiencing is that SAP is trying to enable a particular transaction, using HTTP to deliver your parcel and it seems to me you do not have permission to execute or view this transaction.

I will advice you start with your Security Steward and confirm that your security profile is set up correctly.

Good Luck

Hi,

A few prerequisite questions:
- Is your HTTP service/port active? (txn SMICM)
- Is the BSP you are trying to launch active? (txn SICF)
- Doublecheck the URL for the BSP. (txn SE80)
- What sort of authorizations (roles/profiles) are assigned to your userid? i.e., SAP_ALL, developer, etc.
- Do you currently get an Internet Explorer prompt for authentication (userid/password) when you try to launch the BSP? Or, does the HTTP 403 error occur immediately?
