configure the modem in auto reply mode
I would like to know how to configure the external modem in auto reply configuration mode.

For USR modems S0 register sets the number of rings on which to answer.
S0=0 disables Auto Answer. S0=1 enables Auto Answer and the modem answers on the first ring.
For other vendors configuration may differ.
