 Configure BIND – How to Configure BIND to respond to a DNS Status Query message?

I have a device which is attempting to send DNS Status Query messages (opcode=2) to my bind DNS server.  The DNS server is responding with NOTIMP.  Is there a way to configure bind to respond positively to this query?

NOTIMP means "not implemented" - so, no, you can't configure bind (or the installed version, which you didn't mention) to answer either positively or negatively to this type of requests. Good luck, Petko
