Not an IT question…. however… this configuration will likely reverse polarity of the universe create a massive blackhole and time will fold in on itself and life as we know it will come to an end. ;)

You say that as if it’s a bad thing……

I didn’t say if it was good or bad… just that it could be a likely result…. hahaha… I see that this is heading in the direction of alternate realities and which is best… interesting stuff for sure!

On a slightly more serious note....It Depends! Seriously, the major factors are: - The voltage across the spot welder's terminals - The type of capacitor (ceramic, tantalum, electrolytic, etc.) - The capacity of the device in microfarads. It IS possible, say with a large electrolytic capacitor with a very low voltage tolerance, and a relatively high voltage spot welder - which is normally a contradiction in terms - that you could blow up the capacitor - in which case you'd better have on eye protection, or YOUR universe could get pretty dark. My guess though is that not much of anything would happen - other than charging the capacitor. Sounds like a lot of trouble to go to for not much result. Bob

To answer you question "correctly" - HOOK UP BOTH SIDES TO THE SPOT WELDER TERMINALS. The results will be directly in front of you , or all over the place , but , YOU WILL HAVE THE ANSWER. lol , just use a soldering iron already. (safety procedure)
