Hi, When iam opening computer management in the disk management drives are not showing up and in the disk fragmentation drives are showing but when i click fragment it not fragmenting it shows up the disk cannot be fragmented. thanks Anil

It sounds like you are not logged in as the PC admin. Be sure you are the admin on the PC allowed to perform admin tasks. Another funny response I heard recently (just a joke) click tools, options, noob, punch yourself in the face.

I am guessing you really mean to “defragment” the drive, not fragment it, yes?

Was this working previously and now does not work? Has anything on your system changed since the problem began or are these new drives? If this worked previously can you do a system restore to the time it was working? Do they show in safe mode? Is this a machine on a domain or your home pc?

The OS needs aditional disk space to defragment the disk. If not enough disk espace is available, the deframentation cannot be done.

That is the complete message you are getting ‘the disk cannot be defragmented’ ??
