Computer logged on locally – can’t setup backup

I have a computer that I need to do a backup of. It has been joined to the domain; however I have to log into it locally because the machine that it runs is setup through the local login. I am using Backup Exec 11d. Please help!

Are you trying to back this up from the console or remotely? What OS is the computer?

If the computer is WinXP Pro, and on an AD domain, and if trying to do this remotely, make the domain user account that will be running the backup a member of the local “Backup Operators” group on the PC..

in backup exec, select a local account on the machine to be backed up that has administrative rights or is a backup operator on that machine. In the job properties resource credentials, change the job to use the remote account and test to verify.
