Hi all,
We have a common source physical file QRPGLESRC in lib Qbbb  for our Project. In this, almost all RPG Members are having comments for understanding the program. Well, when I have a copy to my own Source file Qxxx in another Library Qyyy to change the program according to new requirement, these comments are vanishing. Can anyone please tell me the reason why? Thanks!

Are the not copying or are the being truncated?

How are you doing the copy? Are you using /COPY in the source, or some other method? Are you sure the source location is correct in your copy process?

Make sure the destination (New) source file is the same size (or bigger) than the 'from' file. RPGLE is normally at least 112 record length.
Use CPYSRCF to copy the source file.
program source code, including comments will be copied to the target.
