Why can only once clustered index be created on a table ? What is a row locator?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

One reason is that in the old days (SQL 6.5 and before) the clustered index defined the order of the data within the table. There are other reasons out there, but this is the only one that I can think off at the moment.

What do you mean by a row locator? Can you provide an example?
