Really deleting them will free space?

Without looking at the file and member descriptions, it's impossible to be sure if enough space will be recovered to be noticed.

But yes, at least some space will indeed be returned for use by other processes. If no data exists in the members, I don't think there is any reason to keep them around no matter how much space is involved.

It sounds like the members are empty, but still extant. Deleting those will certainly free up space, but whether it will be sufficient to your purposes I can't say.

I use the command DLTPFRDTA LIB(QMPGDATA) and the system displays many members erasable.

Before erasing it to free up space, whit the command DSPPFRDTA LIB(QMPGDATA) I try to view its contents and all that tells me there is nothing to show. Really deleting them will free space?

Thanks!

...the system tells me that I have no performance data to clear.

In that case, please show us exactly how you ran the DLTPFRDTA command. What parameters did you use?

...tells me that I haven´t to clear performance data.

Can you say that again, please? The sentence doesn't make sense. There must be a word missing.

Thanks for the reply Splat.
The problem is that now I'm not collecting performance data and if I try to delete performance data with DLTPFRDTA (I have’t on my system DLTPFRCOL) tells me that I haven´t to clear performance data. Still QMPGDATA library occupies 20 GB.
