Exchange in a cloud environment?

I have a small 2 person business. Outlook is integral to us, my partner uses Office 10, I have Office 07. We have each purchased an new android phone. We would like to sync Outlook with our new phones regularly. We do not use a server in our business. Can I get Exchange in a cloud environment affordably? Does anyone use this type of application? Do we both need to be on the same version of Office?

Yes you can. There are several companies which offer this service. Go Daddy it one, Microsoft's Azure platform is another.
As do affordability, that is subjective so I'll leave that to you.
