Based up on the Q1 reports, expert David Linthicum says that while some public cloud providers (such as Amazon) continue to show growth, others are starting to see their sales either stall or even decline. Do you think this is the beginning of a trend for cloud companies? Or could it just be a blip in the market?

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

This is very much true , cloud providers will continue to show growth because of attractive zero capex model. People today do not want to invest in infrastructure as economical conditions are not in good shape.

ESDS also provide cloud hosting services , which has seen tremendous demand in Indian and European markets. I think Auto scaling will redefine cloud industry in coming time.

Then there are the studies showing that people are increasingly skeptical of the cloud because of companies like Google and government spy agencies like the NSA.

Here's info on a study by the Information Technology and Innovation Foundation says that NSA spying could cost U.S. cloud service providers anywhere from $22 to 35 billion (ouch!):

Serious action is needed to undo NSA's damage to U.S. cloud providers
