Hi,

I have done a bit of searching on the net and it appears that  SOA Cloud certifications (c90.01A, C90.02....) are the valid and accepted. These exams seems to be vendor neutrals.

Can anyone assist me to understand whether SOA certifications are the best, accepted and industry recognized Cloud Certifications that one needs to attempt or is there any other certifications?

Please help.

Thanks

Abhi

Without knowing your career path it's difficult to know what is "Best". If you are interested in Cloud certification though I think the best is to pick a technology you want to focus on. Picture this... you are hiring for your NOC. You've standardized on a very specific technology standard. Maybe it's Microsoft, Maybe google etc. What is the benefit of having a generic expert in Cloud technologies? As a hiring manager you need an expert in the specific technologies you are supporting. Therefore I would look at the technologies you are going to be working with. Then focusing deeply into those technologies. I personally think that Unified Communications is the next big cloud offering. The Lync Multi-tenant UC offering is designed for telecoms and Hosting companies that need to provide additional bandwidth services to thier customers. There are some other UC offerings but none as comprehensive as Lync. So if I wanted a cloud certification that would go a long way, I would choose to certify with Lync rather than a generic cloud certification. On the other hand if I wanted to write books and articles and speak publically on what the next big thing in the cloud is,... I might choose a generic cloud certification.

Hi Ekardris, Thanks for your valuable input. Being primarily a Windows Infrastructure Management professional , can you help provide some insight into the cloud certifications that would be relevant in this case ?
