Client print drivers not installed in Windows 2003 Active Directory

Printer drivers, Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, Network printers

Hi all,

I've recently implemented a network with Windows 2003 Server SE. In this network there are 3 printers. These printers are correctly installed and tested in the server. In the same way, the printers are correctly distributed to all active directory users, but when you try to check the properties of any of these printers in the customer, the system says that no driver is installed for this printer and it does not works. All the clients are Windows XP Professional, and if I install the printers manually in the client PC it works properly.

Do you have any idea of what's happening???

Thanks in advance.

Hello Karry,
on the server in the properties of the printers you should be able to see which drivers are provided for the sharing, if these are not present when a client connects it doesn't know which printer driver to use.
I hope this helps.
