Client Access Screen Prints not working

I have Client Access v 5.7. When I do a screen print, I get only barely visible dots where there should be letters. Where there are underscores on the screen, there are darker dots, almost like single quotes. I followed advice from a previous question, which was to go to Page Setup. On the Text tab, I used 6 LPI, 10 CPI, Courier. Then on the Text Options tab, I marked "Print Nulls as spaces". I still get only barely visible dots when I do a screen print. Can anyone help, please? Thank you.

Thanks. We'll let you know when a new response is added.

I have an older version of CA, but seem to remember problems in using Courier. See if there is a “Courier New” in your font listing. That is what we had to use.

Never had this problem, but it may be the printer that you're using for the print screen. I assume that it is a PC printer. Have you tried using another font? You can also use the host print function to do a print screen to a 400 attached printer. Check your keyboard layout for the correct keys to use for this, but I think the default is CTRL-PAUSE.

Thanks for your replies. I tried changing the font to each and every option available. I did get darker underscores where they were on the screen in some cases, but I still get dots for the text. Unless our help desk can figure something out, I think using that Control Pause will have to suffice. Thank you for that. The thing is, this worked on my previous PC, which connected using the same version of Client Access. It works for others in our department who, as I did, just got new laptops. I'm wondering if there was something I did differently in my workstation setup, but I can find nothing. Thanks again!

A co-worker found a solution to this problem. If you go into File, Printer Setup, you can choose an option called "Use PDT". Then, click on "Select PDT" and he had me choose hppcl5.pdt (we have HP laptops). Click OK. The Print Screen button now works as it should. I also clicked File, Save to save the settings.
