The name I was using was “EPSON FX-880+ on Network”, and there is something about this name that CA does not like. I changed the name to “EPSON FX-880+ and everything works fine. I thought it was the length, but I used another printer with a longer name with no problem. I thought it was the imbedded “+”, but that wasn’t it either. I am putting this down to one of those things we will learn when we get to heaven.

If the printer is specified directly in the ws file, does the name have any odd characters in it?
