Client Access Dropping Decimals when Downloading
Numeric fields are missing decimals when downloaded from iSeries using ADO. The culprit appears to be V7 of IBM i Access. The problem machine's version for CWBODBC.DLL is 13.00.01.00 We've tested the same code on other Win Pro 7 64 bit machines w/o issue. They are using version 11.64.00.00. The problem machine can download via DSN w/o issue. Is there a setting I'm missing to have numeric data w/decimals passed as decimal data instead of integer data?

Software/Hardware used:
iSeries AS400 Clien Access ADO

Wow! It's hard to imagine that this went all this time without being answered. Cause: Client Access 7.1 needs service pack SI45664 Download at: http://www-03.ibm.com/systems/power/software/i/access/windows_sp.html NOTE! Before applying sevice pack SI45664, we must apply a security patch to Windows 7. That can be downloaded here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26347

Somewhere back around then, the site became almost unusable. I know that I totally stopped visiting for a while. Changes in later months brought the site back somewhat, though more changes are needed and apparently are coming. Good point, though, that there might be numerous open questions from that period that need review. — Tom
