Hi, sounds like a good idea.

You will be happy to hear that its pretty easy too.

You will need:

1 Mid spec computer - £400
Good internet conenction 2mb+
Webcams - good ones can be had for £40

Ok, so how can be done..

There is a program called Nefsis, it allows video conferencing. It has very simple interface, you would be the host, it picks up all your webs automatically. It is abit like MSN Messenger, you will have contacts you can invite into your room etc. What it does is uploads the data from your webcam to a server own by Nefsis, it creates a webpage.

All your clients would need to do is go to this webpage and they will see the footage. It is customisable so you can write messages or have your logo present.

BTW I do not work for Nefsis, I am a student on work placement at an IT firm and have just set a simular thing up here. Its vey easy to use and works every time, honestly its no hassle.

If you want, email me at santa_gti@hotmail.co.uk and I will show you how it works.

There is a 15 day trial version available for download.

Just a thought, you could charge parents for the service....

Good luck.

Great idea, one flaw in this slaw though, most newtorks where the parents work will not appreicate it or think it is a good idea lol. Streaming video will not be allowed at most work site.

Check out Panasonic’s solutions. They’ve got some good systems for this. For less expensive solutions, check your local BrandsMart (if you have one) for some options, or even consider some basic computers with webcams running some of the low-cost and free software found by Googling “webcam software”. Hope this helps.
