 Clarification needed about RPGCOBOL and COBOL
COBOL, RPG, RPGCOBOL
Hi iam fresher who joined IT company . I want a job in UK but in requrements it is given as RPGCOBOL. please tell me wat is the difference between normal cobol and RPGCOBOL.Iam familar with normal cobol so whether is it possible for me to apply for this position.

Hi, As fas as I'm aware there is no such thing as RPGCOBOL - there is RPG and there is COBOL and there are various versions of both programming languages. Maybe they're asking for RPG/COBOL (i.e. RPG and/or COBOL)? Regards, Martin Gilbert. Hi, In addition to Gilberts answer - there is a confusion of expressions sometimes, I found the same error in an jobdescription sent to me: it was ILECOBOL they where looking for (RPGCOBOL is a nonsense).
