Hi,

Notepad format is basically text, so you should be able to use CPYSPLF to convert your spooled file to a “flat” file, then use CPYTOPCD to convert your flat file to ASCII text format. Then you should be able to use SNDDST to send the file as an e-mail attachment.

You may need to configure your machine to be able to send e-mail – there are quite a few websites with guides on how to do this.

Regards,

Martin Gilbert.

Is this a one-time need, or will you want a repeating process?

Simplest is to use iNavigator to list your spooled files. You can then just drag/drop a desired spooled file to your desktop and it's done for you. As for how to email it, you possibly can just right-click on the desktop file and select the 'Send to...' option.

Ravens solution is the easiest for a one time solution. If this does not suit your needs report back with the details on how you are looking to automate this.
