    The standard is to create a Source File with a name QCLSRC using the command CRTSRCPF although you can give it any name.

    If you want to create a "utility" type program then probably create in the library QGPL although I would be surprised if a QCLSRC didn't already exist.

    When you start to create your program, type STRPDM on the command line and then 3. Enter the file name (maybe QCLSRC) and Library (maybe QGPL). Work with members press F6 to start creating a new program.  Give it a name and in the Source type  use CLP or CLLE. Either will do.

    Then just get coding..........
