Citrix MetaFrame Login - Credential Validation Error
Citrix MetaFrame Server, Citrix XenApp, Citrix Presentation Server, Citrix MetaFrame authentication error, Authentication, IIS, Terminal Services
I am new to Citrix Metaframe. Recentry I had a virus attack and My citrix server crushed. I have re-installed all the necessary services and also installed Citrix Metaframe 4.0.
I have publiched applications on a myfarm and I cann open then in Citrix program neighbourhood. the proble comes when I try to access the applications through the web. I am using IIS and Terminal services. when I type my server URL e.g http://localhost/citrix/metaframe/auth/login.aspx, I get the logon window but when I type a username and password, I get the ERROR, The supplied credentials could not be validated. Either they are incorrect, or there is a problem with the authentication system. Try again, or contact your help desk or system administrator for help.

I want to authenticate users to a domain and I have configured the correct domain. How would I work around this problem?

You don't have LDAP setup correctly. Configure the LDAP settings for Citrix and that will fix your problems.

When you put in your credentials, did you put the domain on the login id line? Like domainusername?

I meant did you type domainusername?

OK, looks like the slash I am putting between domain and username is disappearing. Do you include the dmoain name with the username when you type in the credentials? If you do and that works you need to add the name of the domain to the login for the web page or instruct users to include it when they log in.
