The Citrix ICA is used to connect to Citrix servers. It is not a different connection like internet. if u are familiar with remote desktop, it's a similar technology regarding Citrix Remote Control and Remote Support Applications. Basically it is used to give employees a working environment without having to put full-featured pc's on their desktop. The Citrix ICA client is usually used on either pc's that are connected to the corporate network, or if somebody logged in from ur computer onto their corporate network. For remote access Citrix offers the following distinct advantages: 1. Bandwidth Policies NOTE: Employees are limited to a specific amount of Kb per virtual channel 2. Remote access via SSL instead of RDP's port 3389, use ICA 1494 or CGP 2598). This is very important because it is very secure as users don't directly connect to Terminal Servers, It is remembered that, 443 is almost always available. 3. Any client over any connection. Regardless of client OS, Citrix has a client also. In other word u can say like that "Citrix Architecture uses a front end and back end server concept to deliver secure applications to remote (internet) users. Thanks
